MusicMix with Marshall

CMW recently received a donation of guitar and bass amps from Marshall Amps. We are very grateful to Marshall for this generous donation and we were excited about using them as soon as possible.

The first opportunity was for our collaboration with ‘Arts Active’ in running ‘MusicMix’ at St David’s Hall in Cardiff. 

This four day workshop challenged a group of young people to work together and create original music. On the final evening, the participants took to the main stage in St David’s Hall to showcase the music they had been working hard at all week.

The young people particularly enjoyed working in a group towards an exciting end performance. One participant said; “I really enjoyed trying a new experience and making rock music. The tutors were really friendly”.

The new amps were a hit on the project and will go on to be used at workshops around Wales, giving participants the opportunity to explore instruments that may be new to them, or to better their current skills. These experiences can have great impact on participants lives.
