Roc R'afon week 2!
CMW’s Ciwdod Roc R’Afon Music Industry project continued into its second week last night as the trainees gathered for another night at the Riverfront Centre in Newport.
Group one (the promotion team) learnt the importance of promoting and managing bands within the community. They concentrated on various means of marketing such as social media, press and the distribution of leaflets and posters. By the end of the session they had written a press release and created a timeline for marketing and promoting the gig that is planned for the 8th December.
Whilst they were busy organizing the gig, the second group (the art and design team) created a mood board that will lead towards designing a logo of the bands new name… Fflam!
Budding rock stars ‘Fflam!’ were next door jammin’ out some ideas and discussing their style. Check out some of their rock poses in the photos! Next week they will start writing a new original song. This is just the beginning, have a look back here next week for further progress!
