Professional Development
Our community music tutor- training programme has been running since 1992, with trainees going on to work as tutors in a variety of settings. In 1997 the programme was recognised as a vocational qualification in informal music training in Wales. The training is both practical and academic and is good practise for the work itself.

The Course covers a range of theory and practice in community music, with practical workshops from professional community music trainers. It will include group work skills, assertiveness, devising and adapting workshop material, planning projects, working with other people’s musical ideas and teaching skills. By the end of the course participants should be able to lead music workshops in a range of settings.
