'Biophony' was launched by Community Music Wales in the days leading up to Wales Nature Week.

This exciting participatory project combined ecological issues, biodiversity awareness and music composition.

Working with local residents, 'Biophony' created new pieces of music for specific topographic areas across Wales including: rivers, sea and coast, woodland and upland.

'Biophony' consists of the Greek prefix, bio, meaning life, and the suffix, phon, meaning sound.
