….Ty Celf..Ty Celf….

….

Last month through our mental health project 'Ty Celf', funded by The Baring Foundation, we welcomed our brilliant Finnish partners Kukunori ry to Cardiff!

Hosted in MAC Media Academy Cymru training rooms, Community Music Wales’ staff took part in Kukunori ry award-winning Guided Functional Peer Support (GFP) training — a creative, peer-led model that puts participants’ passions at the heart of mental health support.

We were also thrilled to invite our Welsh partners in this project Brawd (A men’s mental health support group), and our friends from a leading London arts centre, to join the training.

After three days of training, we’re looking forward to continuing developing the culture house model with plans to expand the initiative across Wales. We’re excited to continue working with Kukunori and The Baring Foundation to bring the Culture House model to the UK — supporting wellbeing in communities across Wales.

Cardiff even showed off with sunshine down the Bay as we shared the sights and stories of our city with our guests, as well as exchanging some Finnish chocolates and some Welsh Penderyn whiskey. Excited for what's to come
